In addition to personal accounts, Ancestry is also available to many organizations.

AncestryClassroom

Ancestry currently offers a K12 Grant Program for accredited U.S. schools. If your school is not fully accredited, is not a K12 location, or is outside the U.S., we have other options available.

AncestryLibrary

For organizations that aren’t eligible for AncestryClassroom, we offer the AncestryLibrary edition. AncestryLibrary is distributed via ProQuest. To be referred to the sales representative for your area, email the following information to the AncestryLibrary team at alt@ancestry.com:

  • Name of your organization
  • Your location (region and country)
  • Your role/title within the organization
  • A phone number where you can be reached

These features are not available on AncestryLibrary:

  • Family trees
  • The Member Directory
  • Ancestry Message Boards
  • AncestryDNA
  • The following record collections:
    • Historical Newspaper Collection
    • Family and Local History Collection
    • Obituary Collection
    • Passenger and Immigration Lists Index
    • Biography Genealogy Master Index
    • Freedman's Bank Records

Other access types

We occasionally offer solutions for short-term access (such as for a one-day or weekend event). Such requests are reviewed on an individual basis and can be sent to the AncestryLibrary team. General organizational inquiries can be sent to us at this address as well.
